91¶ÌÊÓƵ

For more than 100 years, the Independent Girls’ Schools Association ‘91¶ÌÊÓƵ’ has provided support and services to Heads of independent girls’ schools in NSW as it seeks to promote and progress girls’ education.  The Association currently has 32 members who all share a vision for the education of girls in girls’ schools.

Founded by eight Heads in 1916, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ has become an active and vibrant community of schools – encompassing approximately 25,000 girls. Continuing the tradition of creating opportunity and growth for girls, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ has oversight of various interschool activities including 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Sport, Tildesley Tennis, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Festival of Speech, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Choral Festival, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Archdale Debating, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Chess Challenge and 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Dance Festival.

Supported by educational research, it is our belief that single-sex schools are intentionally equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide the best opportunities and outcomes for girls.
